Bryn MacPhail…Thinking BIG.
I am an average guy who likes to attempt BIG things because of my love for God. I have little confidence in what I can do, but I have every confidence in the One who “is able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20). Accordingly, I’m constantly pushing myself to THINK BIG and to dream BIG about what God might do.
Just recently (June 2010), I began a new chapter in ministry as the Pastor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, in Nassau Bahamas. I am here with my lovely wife, Allie, and my adorable daughter, Anya. We have already begun to dream about what God might do on this modest-sized island off the coast of Florida. Yes, we’re dreaming BIG–so stay tuned to this blog as I attempt to discern and record God’s movements among us. In all things, to God be the glory!

Hi Bryn
I really enjoy your posts please keep up your good works in Christ!
I can definitely relate to your plantain story as I had a similar encounter several years ago while working in Jamaica. I did not know what they were and worst I dislike the taste of banana therefore it was quite a jolt to my taste buds. I persevered and finished my plantain serving and I am still here to tell about it so it could not have been all that bad. I can envision that Jesus and the disciples had encounters with unfamiliar food while traveling through foreign lands quite possibly during their sojourn at Sychar. I can only imagine this must have been quite a challenge for some of the disciples given the strict food laws practiced in their culture.
Blessings
